America's changing lifestyle is leading to epidemic rates of heart disease. 600,000 Americans die of heart disease each year. Heart health begins at a young age. Everyone has a responsibility for the health of our young people and ultimately our nation. We are offering grants of $20,000 to $250,000 for creative programs that promote the cardiovascular health of youth. What can you do to help the young people in your community?

For successful problem-based experiences student cooperation is key.
Engage student teams in at least an initial team-building activity to begin building the will for cooperation. Talk about and model social skills for working together and consensus-building.
